Room 308, Tuesday morning

Hermione heard the announcement. She thought this would be a huge failure, yes. What's really scary is that it doesn't even alarm her anymore that her first thought was to spend tonight in the hall in a sleeping bag.

She'd made the decision that for every announcement, Umbridge needed to be negatively reinforced. Thusly, she was sitting on her bed, knitting more oddly-shaped socks and wondering whether the dildo cozy conga line should wait a couple days, or if she should just keep up with it the whole week.


[Mostly for people interested in this post. I'm headed to work soon, but will check when I can throughout the day and be back at 5:30 PST. Yay SP!

Fiddling with the bandage on his hand, Seely knocked on Hermione's door.

Tori had been meaning to talk with Hermione about Umbridge, ever since her wonderful meeting with the temporary principal.

She knocked on Hermione's door, hoping she might be around.

Hermione was debating whether she should just charm the knitting needles like Mrs. Weasley did when she heard the knock. "Come in!"

And that would be a Hermione spotting her. "Hi, Willow!"

Rikku sat cross-legged on her own bed. "Okay. So, uh, on top of the whole sadistic thing you were saying earlier ... she's kinda crazy, yeah?"

"She's determined to make everyone hate her, at the very least," Hermione grumbled.

Rikku nodded. "You know what would be funny? If people started playing musical chairs. With rooms, I mean. We'll all be in bed by 10:30! Just, you know, I'll be in so-and-so's room, and she'll be in someone else's, and a little daisy chain on down."

Prue had heard her sister's name called over the announcements. Her initial reaction had been to storm Umbridge's office and TK her out a window. But since she wasn't in the mood to be arrested, Prue decided to wander the halls until Phoebe came back.

She happened to wander to Hermione's room and knocked on the door.

Hermione wasn't far from the door by now, putting the ones she'd finished in a box by the closet. "Hi, Prue," she said, looking up.

"Hey." she said, coming into the room. "I can't sit still. Phoebe got called into Umbridge's office today."

Sam didn't want to bother Hermione with everything that was going on, but Umbridge messing with Dean had crossed the line, and he didn't know who else to talk to.

Hermione looked up, waving at him. "Hello," she greeted him.

Aravis had been mad yesterday.

Now, after a visit to Umbridge's office, Aravis was not only mad but apparently had pinkeye.

But after her trip was so unsuccessful, she had realized that the only way to actually do anything about Umbridge was to go to the one person here who actually knew what they were dealing with. Which was why she was knocking.

Hermione looked up and started to smile, but that was cut off by a "What happened to you?"

Hermione was super smart and Annette was counting on this to help her think of some way to get back at Umbridge for what she did to her, and her friends.

Therefore she was here and knocking on her door.

Hermione was feeling pretty popular today. "Hi," she said. "Come on inside."

Luke poked his head into the room a half-hour before heading off to explosives class.

"Let me guess--this is her just getting started."

"She's very intent on making everyone miserable," Hermione nodded. "She's started hexing students."

"Hey, Hermione," Peter said, sticking his head into Hermione's room. "Just wanted to let you know, the thing with the stuff and the woodland creatures is going down tomorrow."
