Room 308, Tuesday morning

Hermione heard the announcement. She thought this would be a huge failure, yes. What's really scary is that it doesn't even alarm her anymore that her first thought was to spend tonight in the hall in a sleeping bag.

She'd made the decision that for every announcement, Umbridge needed to be negatively reinforced. Thusly, she was sitting on her bed, knitting more oddly-shaped socks and wondering whether the dildo cozy conga line should wait a couple days, or if she should just keep up with it the whole week.


[Mostly for people interested in this post. I'm headed to work soon, but will check when I can throughout the day and be back at 5:30 PST. Yay SP!

"I'm okay, you?" Tori, in truth, was worried about everyone who'd been called into Umbridge's office.

"I've knitted a box worth of these," she said, figuring that was as good an answer as any.

"Nice work," Tori smirked. "Are they for someone specific?"

"I made them attack Umbridge yesterday," she said.

Tori grinned. "I bet she loved that," she imagined the look on Umbridge's face when they'd attacked. "Anything I can do to help antagonize her more? I mean, she only put a twitchy ears hex on me, but I'd like to get back at her for messing with you and my other friends."

"Yes," Hermione nodded. "I'm trying to annoy her till she leaves. Make it so bad that she doesn't want to be here. If she's going to try to punish everyone when she sees one person doing something she doesn't like, then I think we should punish her for being overbearing, cruel and completely unreasonable."

"That could work very well," Tori smiled, liking the plan all ready. "How I can help with that?"

"When you hear an announcement you don't like, pay her back for it," she said. "What are those tricks people play on substitutes? Tacks on chairs, things like that?"

"I have a feeling that's going to be every announcement," Tori chuckled. "All right, I can totally do that. Yeah, something to that effect," she nodded. For once, she was thankful Dustin and Shane had been such pranksters. She knew a few tricks she could play on Umbridge, oh yes. Payback would be fun.
