Room 308, Tuesday morning

Hermione heard the announcement. She thought this would be a huge failure, yes. What's really scary is that it doesn't even alarm her anymore that her first thought was to spend tonight in the hall in a sleeping bag.

She'd made the decision that for every announcement, Umbridge needed to be negatively reinforced. Thusly, she was sitting on her bed, knitting more oddly-shaped socks and wondering whether the dildo cozy conga line should wait a couple days, or if she should just keep up with it the whole week.


[Mostly for people interested in this post. I'm headed to work soon, but will check when I can throughout the day and be back at 5:30 PST. Yay SP!

Luke poked his head into the room a half-hour before heading off to explosives class.

"Let me guess--this is her just getting started."

"She's very intent on making everyone miserable," Hermione nodded. "She's started hexing students."

"So we're not going to just stand for it," Luke said vehemently. "Plans?"

"There's been a lot of that question going around," she said. "I've decided that if she's going to punish us like she is, she deserves some of it as well. When she makes an announcement, I think we should let her know we won't take it. So far I've only done a couple of small things, charming things to follow her around or fly at her face, but I think if a lot of people can start doing that sort of thing en masse, it'll help her not want to be here."

Luke nodded. "I'm pretty good with telekinesis," he said. "I can have something --well, not cute and adorable, she seems to like those--slimy and full of drool--bounce after her for an afternoon."

She frowned a little. "I almost don't want to ask."

Luke gave her a brilliant smile. "And I have Artoo. He's brilliant at being irritating."

"Oh, I'm sure he can't be that bad," said Hermione automatically.

Luke giggled. "He's downloaded many, many annoying songs into his memory. And never gets tired."

"Then I think he's perfect," Hermione grinned.

"Any requests?" Luke asked, grinning back.

"Does he have that song that never ends?"

Luke's eyes lit up. "He does."

"Then I think he's even more perfect," Hermione grinned.

"Now that I have a mission, I should get to my workshop," Luke said, eyes sparkling. "I'll see you soon, Hermione."
