Room 308, Tuesday morning

Hermione heard the announcement. She thought this would be a huge failure, yes. What's really scary is that it doesn't even alarm her anymore that her first thought was to spend tonight in the hall in a sleeping bag.

She'd made the decision that for every announcement, Umbridge needed to be negatively reinforced. Thusly, she was sitting on her bed, knitting more oddly-shaped socks and wondering whether the dildo cozy conga line should wait a couple days, or if she should just keep up with it the whole week.

Prue had heard her sister's name called over the announcements. Her initial reaction had been to storm Umbridge's office and TK her out a window. But since she wasn't in the mood to be arrested, Prue decided to wander the halls until Phoebe came back.

She happened to wander to Hermione's room and knocked on the door.

Hermione wasn't far from the door by now, putting the ones she'd finished in a box by the closet. "Hi, Prue," she said, looking up.

"Hey." she said, coming into the room. "I can't sit still. Phoebe got called into Umbridge's office today."

"Was she hexed and does she need help fixing it?" Hermione asked immediately.

"I don't know yet. But god help that lady if she does hex my sister." said Prue. "She shouldn't be allowed to do that to students."

"No, she shouldn't," said Hermione. "I've been researching the legal background on that, actually, but for now I'm sticking with little ways to drive her away. In fact, I'm hoping more people involved will drive her off sooner."

"I'll gladly help in anything that'll get that old bat out of here." Prue said. "I'd use magic on her but I'm not allowed to hurt innocents and that's unfortunately what she qualifies as since she isn't technically evil."

"I'd hardly call her an innocent," Hermione said dryly. "Can you use it to annoy her?"

"That much I'm allowed to do." said Prue with grin.

"Great," she said. "I haven't wanted to use magic too much so she can't always say it's me, but it really does make this sort of thing more convenient."

She would never ever say that to the Weasley twins. Ever.

"I'm here for all your telekinesis needs." Prue said. It was a shame Piper wasn't still a student here. That freezing time thing could have come in handy.

"Do you have to be right there for it to work, or can you do it from a distance?" Hermione wondered.

"I have to be around the same area." said Prue. "But I can do it with my eyes so nobody would really be able to accuse me of anything other than loitering."

"That's good!" Hermione said, and admitted, "The worst part about this is worrying that other people will get punished for it."

"You don't have to worry about me. I've dealt with worse." said Prue. The whole dying thing gave you a whole new perspective on punishment.

"Good," she said. "Um. I don't mean good, but... You know what I mean."
