Room 308, Tuesday evening

Hermione was studying, which probably came as a surprise to no one. Classes were back in session, she didn't have any evil principals to plot against, and that meant her priorities were blissfully back to normal. So there she was, at her desk, with a book on mathematical theory and knitting needles spelled nearby to make some more hats for the Hogwarts elves. She was sure Ginny would distribute them if she asked.

"Hey Harry," Ron said with a wave. "What's the good word?"

"Hey, Ron," Harry replied, waving. "Heard anything more from Ginny?"

"No," Ron grimaced. "I haven't written back. I keep breaking my quills."

"I could loan you some!" Harry offed helpfully and selflessly.

"If you're so keen to hear about her snogging Dean, you can write her yourself," Ron said rolling his eyes. "Besides we'll be seeing her soon enough. We just need to pick a date to go back to Hogwarts."

"I could write her myself," Harry mused. "And whenever we pick, it'd better be a weekend or we'll miss class. Not that I care but we'd never hear the end of it."

Ron shot a glance over to Hermione and rolled his eyes. "She'd go mental if she skipped a class. You haven't told her anything about the plan have you?"

Harry shook his head. "It's your plan, mate."

"Good. We don't want her talking us out of it," Ron said quietly. "How you adjusting to school?"

"It's weird. Not like Hogwarts. More worried about you, really -- how're you dealing with Muggle things?"

"Well the tee-vee thing was a bit confusing," Ron admitted. "And the classes I'm taking are completely insane. My feminism teacher wears pajamas and threatened to kill me because I didn't know who Bean Arter was. Are all muggle schools like this?"

"No," Harry said with authority. "Mine was much duller."

Ron dropped his voice even lower. "Did you have classes about... you know. Stuff."

Harry had no idea what stuff was meant.

"...stuff?"

"You know!"

Ron's voice dropped even more in volume. "Stuff!"

"Stuff?" Harry looked bewildered. "No! You have classes on...stuff?"

"Yes!" Ron flailed. "Why are they teaching this in school?"

"Why don't I have classes on stuff? How do you have stuff classes?"

"I don't want classes on stuff!" Ron flailed. "I somehow got signed up for this class! I don't know what I'm doing there!"

Harry considered. "But! But by being in the stuff class, won't it follow that then you'll know about stuff?"

"There's parts and parts!" Ron flailed. "It's not any fun!"

Harry made a face. "You could skive off?"
