Hermione isn't exactly the girliest of all girls, but that doesn't mean she hasn't checked the mirror about thirty times. And, unlike the last dance she went to, she probably won't end this one yelling at anyone.

Hm. It's been thirty seconds. Time to check the mirror again.

JD is standing outside the door of room 308, staring at it. It looks a little scary. His hair is greased back, his tuxedo is kickin', he's got all the moves.

And yet, he's having some trouble with the knocking part. Finally, he taps lightly on the door, proffering out a single white rose wrapped in a checkered ribbon and a corsage before the door has even opened.
