Room 308, Tuesday evening

Hermione was studying, which probably came as a surprise to no one. Classes were back in session, she didn't have any evil principals to plot against, and that meant her priorities were blissfully back to normal. So there she was, at her desk, with a book on mathematical theory and knitting needles spelled nearby to make some more hats for the Hogwarts elves. She was sure Ginny would distribute them if she asked.

Hermione rolled her eyes. "You're obviously being very mature about this, aren't you?"

"She's way too young to be this popular or to be dating someone," Ron declared. "It's not right. She's too young to be kissing anyone."

Hermione couldn't really talk herself. "She's fifteen. Harry was the same age when he went out with Cho, and I don't remember you having a problem with that."

"That was completely different!" Ron argued. "He's a special case."

"How?"

"He's Harry!" Ron sputtered.

"And she's Ginny! So what?"

"She's my sister!"

"It's hardly fair to say she can't do something anyone else her age would be able to just because she's your sister," Hermione argued. "And she would hex you for saying all this and you know it."

"Not everyone else is running around snogging people," Ron argued. "You didn't run around kiss people when you were fifteen."

Oh, look how fast Hermione was trying to turn that subject off of her, even if she was a little pink. "That's besides the point. It isn't up to you to tell her what she can't do."

"That is the point and it won't make much difference once I'm done with Dean!" Ron retorted.

"But Dean hasn't done anything wrong!"

"He's snogging my sister!"

"And here we are again," Hermione sighed. "Look, it isn't as if there's anything you can do about it, so you're just going to have to get used to it."

"Well there is something I can do and then everything will be back to normal," Ron declared and then might have realized he said too much.

Hermione paused. "Ron, what are you thinking?"

"I'm just going to make sure Dean drops this whole matter of dating Gin," Ron said crossing his arms.

"What are you going to do, send him a Howler?"

"No," Ron said. "That would just get me hexed by Ginny. This is much more subtle in nature."

Ron obviously has no idea what subtle means.

"Tell me," she said, completely worried.

"Harry and I are going to sneak my roommate Sulley into Hogwarts and scare Dean off from dating Ginny," Ron said trying to make the plan sound better than it is.

"You're... you can't do that!" she said, jaw dropped.

"Sure we can!" Ron said smugly. "I'm going to have Fred and George get us a portkey and then we'll sneak Sulley in using the tunnel under Honeydukes."

"How would you like that if Ginny did this to you?" Hermione asked.
